1. Viola Davis won Best Female Actor Award 

This time at the 27th Screen Actors Guild Awards, Chadwick Boseman won the SAG Award for Best Male Actor and Viola Davis won the Best Female Actor Award. Yun-Jung Yun won the Best Female Supporting Actor Award and Daniel Kalua won the Best Male Supporting Actor Award. Viola Davis is an American actress and producer. Previously, she has become the first African-American to win the "Triple Crown of Acting" after winning one Academy Award, one Primetime Emmy Award, and two Tony Awards. Time magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world in the year 2012 and the year 2017.

1. Resignation of Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh

Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has resigned from his post. After the resignation of Anil Deshmukh, senior leader of the Nationalist Congress Party Dilip Walse Patil has been given the responsibility of the Home Ministry of Maharashtra. He previously had the responsibility of the Department of Labor and Excise. Former Mumbai commissioner Parambir Singh wrote a letter in the past and accused Anil Deshmukh of recovering Rs 100 crore. Since then, Anil Deshmukh was on the target of everyone. Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh had made serious allegations of corruption against Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in his petition. Minister in Maharashtra government and NCP leader Nawab Malik said that after the High Court order, Home Minister Anil Deshmukh met Sharad Pawar and party leaders and said that he does not want to continue in his post. 2. Public holiday will be on Ambedkar Jayanti, Ministry of Personnel issued a notification 

The central government has given Dr. B.R. To celebrate the 130th birth anniversary of Ambedkar, 14 April 2021 has been declared a public holiday. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, also known as Babasaheb Ambedkar, was an Indian jurist, economist, politician and social reformer who inspired the Dalit Buddhist movement and campaigned against social discrimination against the untouchables. Dr. BR also in preparing the constitution of independent India. Ambedkar played a very important role. In the year 1990, he was posthumously awarded India's highest honor Bharat Ratna.

By the way, the Modi government has started declaring a public holiday on the birthday of Baba Saheb Dr. Ambedkar since the year 2015 after coming to power. However, it is announced through a special order every year. This time, a week before the holiday announcement is also being linked to the Bengal elections.

Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Thaawarchand Gehlot informed about this decision of the Public Ministry of Personnel Ministry on the birth anniversary of Baba Saheb by tweeting on Thursday. Also appreciated the contribution of Baba Saheb in harmony in the country. At the same time, RPI chief and Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale thanked Prime Minister Modi for this decision of the government and said that Prime Minister Modi has always respected Baba Saheb.

3. India's largest floating solar power plant to be set up in Telangana 

National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) is constructing India's largest floating solar plant (floating solar power plant) in Ramagundam, Peddapalli district, Telangana, with a power generation capacity of 100 MW in the reservoir. This solar project will be spread over 450 acres with 4.5 lakh photovoltaic panels which can be expanded in future. The estimated cost of this project is approximately Rs 423 crores and the project aims to achieve India's target of 175 GW of installed renewable energy capacity by the year 2022 which includes solar installed capacity of 100 GW.

Floating solar plant

• This floating solar plant is a viable alternative to land-based solar plants that deploy photovoltaic panels on the surface of water bodies.

• These floating solar plants help to meet the significant challenges that renewable energy plant owners have to face in relation to grid connectivity, land acquisition, regulations.

• Another advantage of installing these floating solar plants is the cooling effect of the water bodies. Due to which the performance of these solar panels increases by 5-10 percent.

• The first floating solar power plant in India was set up in Kolkata in the year 2014.

World's Largest Solar Power Plant

• Recently, Hardeep Singh Dang, the Minister of Renewable Energy of Madhya Pradesh, announced that the world's largest solar power project of 600 MW will be constructed at Omkareshwar Dam on the Narmada River in Madhya Pradesh. Power generation at this solar power plant will start by 2022-2023.

• These floating solar energy panels will operate at 600 MW power generation capacity.

1. Increase in emergency credit line guarantee plan period

Recently, the duration of the Rs 3 lakh crore emergency credit line guarantee scheme has been extended by the government till 30 June 2021 and its scope has been extended to areas such as hospitality, travel and tourism.

ECLGS was released in the year 2020 as a self-sustaining package during the time of Kovid-19 crisis. Its purpose was to provide assistance / support to small businesses struggling to meet their operational liabilities due to nationwide lockout.

Key points:

(A) ECLGS 1.0:

To provide fully guaranteed and collateral free additional credit up to 20% of their credit on MSMEs, business ventures, MUDRA borrowers and personal loans for business purposes by February 29, 2020.

MSMEs with arrears up to Rs 25 crore and turnover up to Rs 100 crore are eligible for this. However, in November 2020, the turnover cap was removed after amendments to ECLGS 2.0.

(B) ECLGS 2.0:

This revised edition focuses on the 26 stressed areas identified by the Kamath Committee, as well as the health sector, whose dues are more than Rs 50 crore and up to Rs 500 crore by February 29, 2020.

SMAs or Special Mention Accounts refer to stressed accounts in which the borrower is not able to repay the loan. Whereas SMA-0 are accounts that have partial or full overdue conditions for 1–30 days. Payments in SMA-1 and SMA-2 accounts are overdue for 31-60 days and 61-90 days respectively. In the revised plan the repayment period has been reduced to five years, while in ECLGS 1.0, the period was 4 years.

(C) ECLGS 3.0:

ECLGS 3.0 includes an extension of up to 40 percent of the total outstanding debt of all lending institutions as of February 29, 2020. Loans offered under ECLGS 3.0 will have a term of 6 years, including a 2-year grace period. It covers business ventures in hospitality, travel and tourism, leisure and sports sectors. But this facility is only for those enterprises whose total loan does not exceed Rs 500 crore by February 29, 2020 and the delayed loan, if any, has a term of 60 days or less on February 29, 2020.

Guarantees are provided under the ECLGS scheme by the National Credit Guarantee Trustee Company- NCGTC.

2. Digit Insurance appointed Virat Kohli as brand ambassador

1. Australia's women's team set a world record by winning 22 ODIs in a row 

The Australian women's cricket team, led by Meg Lanning, has set a world record for most consecutive ODI wins on April 04, 2021. This team achieved this feat after defeating New Zealand in the first ODI of the three-match series at Mount Mountanui on April 04. This is Australia's 22nd consecutive win in women's ODI. Till date, no team has won consecutive ODIs in both men's and women's cricket. Earlier, Australia's men's team, captained by Ricky Ponting, had won 21 ODIs in a row. The team did this feat in 2003. During this time Australia's men team defeated India, Pakistan, England, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Netherlands, Namibia, New Zealand, Kenya and West Indies.

At the same time, if we talk about the women's team of Australia, before this match, she won all 21 matches played till now. During this time, the women's team defeated the teams of India (3-0), Pakistan (3-0), England (3-0), West Indies (3-0) and Sri Lanka (3-0). At the same time, New Zealand beat 7 ODIs the most. Australia's women's team last lost an ODI in 2017. Australia's women's team has also won 17 and 16 ODIs in a row. Indian women's team has also won 16 consecutive ODI matches in 2016-17.

1. Former Mumbai cricketer Mehli Irani passed away 

Mehli Irani, a former Mumbai cricketer and a big player of the 'Kanga League', died in Dubai. He was 90 years old. Kanga League is a famous cricket tournament of the monsoon season in Mumbai. A left-handed batsman and wicketkeeper, Irani competed in the Kanga League for nearly 50 years. He represented the Bombay Gymkhana and Parsi Cyclists at the club level. Another MCA official said that he played just one match for Bombay (now Mumbai) against Baroda in 1953-54. Test players such as Nari Contractor, Farooq Engineer, Karsan Ghavri and Ghulam Parkar played in Irani's captaincy in the Parsi Cyclists team. The former Indian captain, who played alongside Irani, condoled his demise and said he was a good cricketer.
