World Heritage Day is celebrated every
year on 18 April. This time the theme of World Heritage Day 2021 is 'Complex
Past: Divers Futures'. The importance of celebrating World Heritage Day also
becomes important because its purpose is to preserve cultural-historical and
natural heritage and to make people aware of it.
The main purpose of celebrating this day
is also to bring awareness about the preservation of historical and cultural
sites associated with human civilization all over the world. An international
treaty was signed at the initiative of UNESCO, a United Nations organization,
which is committed to preserving the world's cultural and natural heritage.
This treaty was implemented in 1972. Initially, heritage sites were mainly
included in three categories. First the heritage sites which are naturally
associated i.e. natural heritage sites, second cultural heritage sites and
third mixed heritage sites. In the year 1982, EcoMark organized International
Memorial and Site Day in Tunisia. After its ratification at the UNESCO
Convention, it was announced to celebrate 18 April as World Heritage Day.
Earlier there was a tradition to celebrate April 18 as World Memorial and
Archaeological Sites Day.
The sites are known as World Heritage
Sites due to the special cultural or physical importance listed by UNESCO. The
list of World Heritage Sites is prepared by the 'World Heritage Program', the
program is administered by UNESCO World Heritage.
There are a total of 38 World Heritage
Sites in India, including 30 cultural, 7 natural and 1 mixed.
UNESCO means 'United Nations

What is LOU (Letter of Undertaking?)
LOU is considered as a kind of guarantee, this letter is issued by one bank to another bank. On the basis of which other banks give money in the form of credit to the said person. Under this letter, the bank is responsible for filling the money required to buy goods abroad. Merchants often ask for such letter from the bank to get goods from abroad. So that they do not have to face the difficulty of changing the currency. The giving of LoU letter or letter by the bank means that the bank is taking responsibility for the money taken by that customer. This letter is given only to those who have a good business and the bank can easily recover the loan from them. At the same time, this scam came to light from a regional bank of PNB, Mumbai. It is being told that the employees of this bank issued fake LOUs, after which the information was sent to Allahabad Bank and Axis Bank via SWIFT network that Punjab National Bank needs some money. After which the transaction password of PNB was verified, after the complete information was verified, Diamond R US and other two companies were given money abroad.
